Thunder Lose By a Run at Binghamton
Brandon Finnegan could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Trenton Thunder lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Binghamton Mets at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton has 3 straight wins, Trenton 3 straight losses.

Stan Strong had a big 2-run triple for the Mets in the bottom of the third inning. With Binghamton leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 33-year old left-handed pitcher Brandon Finnegan and swatted a triple to left. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mets ahead, 3-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Binghamton manager Lee Tinsley said.
