The Nashville Sounds defeated the Memphis Redbirds, 3-2. Doing his part was right fielder Rikyu Ichihara, who went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The American Conference North Division-leading Sounds have a record of 79-55.

Ichihara had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Casey Shane, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Sounds a 2-1 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Ichihara.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ichihara.
