Down Goes New Orleans, 2-0, to Omaha
|
A good time was had by all at Werner Park, where the New Orleans Zephyrs and Omaha Storm Chasers tangled.
The Omaha Storm Chasers dealt the New Orleans Zephyrs a 2-0 loss at Werner Park. Zak Phillips, who is tied for 7th in the AC with a .305 batting average, was the star on offense. He was 2-2 with a double. He scored 2 times. The Storm Chasers, at 66-67, have now won 8 straight.
The Storm Chasers ran into trouble in the top of the fourth. The score was 1-0, Omaha, with one out. New Orleans, with the bases loaded, had Tristan Donahue at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he hit into a double play and the Storm Chasers went on to win.
