The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Reno Aces, 11-2, with major props going to shortstop Stu Beard. On the day, Beard went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Chihuahuas. Reno has now lost 5 in a row.

With El Paso leading 6-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Beard came up to bat against Reno pitcher Sean Warren. Beard hit a fastball to center for a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Chihuahuas on top, 10-2.
