The El Paso Chihuahuas overcame a pretty good performance by Sacramento shortstop Ron Thomason, beating the River Cats, 7-4, at . Thomason was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Chihuahuas bumped their record to 65-53 with this latest triumph.
