Aces Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the Reno Aces and Salt Lake Bees.

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 25-year old left fielder Ronnie Matthews, the Salt Lake Bees stopped the Reno Aces, 3-2. Max Rey was the winner. He's now 6-5. The loser was Ken Shaw.

With Salt Lake leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Matthews hit a fastball from Ken Shaw for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Bees ahead, 3-0.

After the game, Salt Lake manager Tom Prince applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

The first-place Bees have won 4 consecutive games.
