Salt Lake turned a good effort from starter Octávio Rangel into a win over the Reno Aces at Aces Ballpark. The final score was 6-2. With the win, Salt Lake has a record of 63-52. Reno falls to 48-67.

Salt Lake used a well-timed hit by Ken Hilton to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Bees ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Salt Lake manager Tom Prince.
