The home crowd had a good time watching the El Paso Chihuahuas and Omaha Storm Chasers get after it.

The 7-5 Omaha win over El Paso was due in large part to Jimmy Reeves. The Storm Chasers center fielder went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The winner in relief was Mike Minor. He is now 3-1. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Dave Howard picked up his 9th save of the season.

Eric Cooper chipped in for Omaha, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 2 with a hit by pitch.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Reeves.

The Storm Chasers now have a record of 54-60.
