New Orleans Zephyrs starter Rob Bush turned in an exceptional performance against the Salt Lake Bees at Smith's Ballpark, resulting in a New Orleans win, 4-2. António Fontanez earned save number 9 this season. The Zephyrs, at 53-57, sit in third place in the American Conference South Division.

New Orleans took a 3-0 lead on Terence Thompson's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Thompson hit in the top of the eighth, left Salt Lake pitcher Octávio Rangel visibly frustrated.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Bush.
