The Albuquerque Isotopes downed the Reno Aces, 8-1. The hitting star was first baseman Jeff Smith. Smith hit 2 home runs for the Isotopes. Albuquerque pitcher Don Younger got the win. He's now 10-5. Joe Bernard was tagged with the loss. Albuquerque is second in the American Conference South Division with a record of 51-52.

The Isotopes got a big hit from right fielder Tony Parker. Facing Reno pitcher Joe Bernard in the bottom of the fifth, Parker pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 28th double of the season put the Isotopes ahead, 2-0.
