The Albuquerque Isotopes got a sterling performance from pitcher Bob Bennett, but the New Orleans Zephyrs still prevailed, 4-2. Bennett threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The win for the Zephyrs lifted their record to 56-39.

With the bases empty and one out in the top of the sixth inning, first baseman Terence Thompson delivered big for the Zephyrs. New Orleans was trailing 2-1 when he belted a solo home run.

Thompson called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
