The Round Rock Express picked up a win at Isotopes Park, topping the Albuquerque Isotopes, 5-3. On the mound for Round Rock was left-hander Kevin Green. He played a principal role in the triumph. Moises Cedeno earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-2. By defeating Albuquerque, the last-place Express improved to 35-44.
António Ríos came through with a big-time hit for Round Rock. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Green said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
