Younger Too Tough, Blanks Memphis
|
Don Younger was in a mood to talk following the Albuquerque Isotopes contest against the Memphis Redbirds, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Redbirds, 4-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Younger said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Memphis on a 3-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 2 strikeouts.
In 12 starts this season, Younger has rung up a 7-3 record and a 3.07 ERA.
