The El Paso Chihuahuas polished off the Colorado Springs Sky Sox by the score of 7-2. The largest share of the credit belonged to designated hitter Curt Ratzlaff. Ratzlaff was 2-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Chihuahuas. Phil Childress, who is tied for 4th in the PC with a 1.10 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 5-3. Ratzlaff had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Juan Figueroa, he banged a bases-clearing triple to right-center, giving the Chihuahuas a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd triple of the year for Ratzlaff.
