The Fresno Grizzlies downed the Reno Aces, 11-5. The hitting star was third baseman Takahiro Hayagawa. Hayagawa was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Grizzlies. Mal Morrison earned the save for Fresno, his 3rd of the year. The win lifted the Fresno record to 41-33.

The Aces had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Grizzlies going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old catcher Ben Moore came to the plate. Moore hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 changeup from Reno hurler Norm Sims. It was Moore's 3rd double of the year.
