Steve Farrar had a 3-RBI game, during Tacoma's 8-6 triumph over the El Paso Chihuahuas. Farrar contributed 2 singles and 1 home run to the cause. António Martínez was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The Rainiers go to 28-45 with the win.

Greg Jones was 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Tacoma. The 27-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a 2-run single off Dan Norman. It was his 62nd hit of the season.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Farrar told a Tacoma News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
