Isotopes Deal Round Rock 5-2 Defeat
|
Albuquerque pitcher Brad Dyer had a large part in his team subduing the Round Rock Express, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The save was credited to Milo Sykes, his 17th. By defeating Round Rock, the last-place Isotopes improved to 33-37.
The Isotopes got a big at-bat from first baseman Marc Davis. For the game, Davis was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Albuquerque a 4-1 lead.
Said losing manager Ben Petrick: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
