River Cats Earn Late Win
The Sacramento River Cats beat the Tacoma Rainiers by a score of 9-8. Sacramento designated hitter Steve Norrish deserved the lion's share of the credit. Norrish went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 for the River Cats. The third-place River Cats lifted their record to 29-39.

Bob Taylor was the walk-off hero for Sacramento. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the River Cats left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Norrish said.
