Joe Lynch, who leads the PC with a 1.25 ERA, had a strong outing for the El Paso Chihuahuas against the Fresno Grizzlies at . The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. El Paso reliever Tim Berry picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Bobby Dailey was tagged with the loss. Justin De Fratus was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Had Curt Ratzlaff not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Ratzlaff hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Chihuahuas.
