At , the El Paso Chihuahuas and Colorado Springs Sky Sox were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox picked up a win at , taking down the El Paso Chihuahuas, 3-0. Starting pitcher Randy Smith was a big reason why. The second-place Sky Sox improved to 20-28.

Colorado Springs used a well-timed hit by Aurelio López to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sky Sox ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Andy Hayes.
