Rainiers Upend Storm Chasers, 6-1

Tacoma and Omaha got after it at Werner Park.
Tacoma pitcher Norberto Martínez had a large part in his team subduing the Omaha Storm Chasers, 6-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Tacoma raised its record to 22-20 with the win.
Julio De La Cruz hit a run-scoring triple off Ken Walker in the top of the second, which put the Rainiers in front, 2-1. De La Cruz had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Tacoma skipper Mario Garza.
