Zephyrs Send El Paso Home with 4-1 Loss
Mel Hargrove pitched a gem to lead New Orleans to victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas, 4-1. Hargrove got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Today's win puts New Orleans at 20-21, while El Paso falls to 28-14.

New Orleans used a well-timed hit by Luis Herta to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Zephyrs ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Herta.
