Starting pitcher Jarred Polk pitched well enough to help the New Orleans Zephyrs beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 5-4. Polk, now 5-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. The Zephyrs, at 18-20, sit in third place in the American Conference South Division.

Ric Rose helped out the New Orleans cause in the bottom of the second inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
