The Reno Aces beat the Nashville Sounds, 9-5, at Aces Ballpark. Diego A. Castillo, who is tied for 9th in the PC in doubles with 8, starred for Reno. He went 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The first-place Sounds dropped to 18-15.

Chris Bailey went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI for Reno. The 30-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Arturo Flores. It was his 18th RBI of the season.

"We maximized our offense today," said Reno skipper Ruben Niebla. "That makes everyone's life easier."
