A jubilant Franklin Reyes joined the postgame press conference at Isotopes Park to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Sacramento River Cats pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Albuquerque Isotopes right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 10-1 Isotopes win.

"He made it look easy," said Carlos Corporan, manager of the River Cats. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Franklin Reyes hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jake Evans in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jake Evans in the 8th.

So far this season, Reyes has hit .291 with 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 9 times.
