Chihuahuas Win, 1-0, Versus New Orleans
|
El Paso Chihuahuas starter Walker Lockett found his groove in his team's 1-0 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs. El Paso reliever Michel Deodato picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jose G. Gonzalez took the loss. The win gives El Paso a season record of 21-9.
The Chihuahuas got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Andy Wilson. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Chihuahuas.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Wilson said.
