New Orleans took on Oklahoma City in front of a lively crowd.
New Orleans designated hitter Terence Thompson helped his team beat the Oklahoma City Dodgers, 7-5. Thompson, who is tied for 2nd in the AC with a 1.063 OPS, went 2 for 4 for the Zephyrs. Reliever Joe Ward picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Blake Snell took the loss. Raymond Rodriguez picked up the save, his 10th.
New Orleans took a 7-3 lead on Thompson's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Ed Reeves in the top of the sixth, propelled New Orleans to the win.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Thompson told the New Orleans Gazette.
After losing, Oklahoma City is 12-10.
