Las Vegas right fielder Stan Martin made his presence felt in the 9-3 51s triumph over the Reno Aces. Martin was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Aces, now 4-17, continue their sluggish start.

With Las Vegas leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Martin hit a run-scoring single off Reno hurler Pat Abrams. It was the 23rd hit of the season for Martin and put his team ahead, 2-0.
