El Paso Chihuahuas starter Ken Fisher found his groove in his team's 5-4 win over the Reno Aces. Fisher, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. Jerry Lawrence closed the game out for El Paso, earning his 1st save.

El Paso used a clutch at-bat from Darrel Nijland to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Good teams find a way to win close games," Fisher said.
