Grizzlies Get 6-5 Win Versus Tacoma
Cheney Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Fresno Grizzlies and Tacoma Rainiers.

The Fresno Grizzlies did just enough to sneak past the Tacoma Rainiers, 6-5, at Cheney Stadium. Fresno left fielder José Villarreal, in particular, had a standout performance. The win brings the Grizzlies to 7-5, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Fresno took a 4-1 lead on Villarreal's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Edgardo Leon in the top of the seventh, propelled Fresno to the win.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Villarreal.
