The Colorado Springs Sky Sox topped the Las Vegas 51s by a score of 10-3. Leading the way was third baseman Aurelio López. López went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs for the Sky Sox. Jim Rowe earned the win for Colorado Springs. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 9 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. The loss puts Las Vegas at 2-4.
Robbie Beasley was 1-5 with a triple. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Colorado Springs. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off José Agodo. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
