Senators Earn 6-4 Home Win
|
The inspired effort of Trenton left fielder Ben McCabe was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-4, to the Harrisburg Senators. McCabe was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Harrisburg reliever Max Walden picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Matt Tenuta was tagged with the loss. Colm Tucker closed it out for his 7th save.
The Senators had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 6-4, Harrisburg, with two out. Trenton, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Rod González dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 fastball, he grounded out.
The win gives the Senators a record of 17-36.
