Cleveland Gets 7-3 Win Against Twins
|
The Cleveland Guardians topped the Minnesota Twins, 7-3, in American League action at Target Field. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland pitcher and Lake Norman of Catawba, North Carolina, native Hunter Harvey. Harvey yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-17. The Guardians sport a record of 64-92.
Cleveland used the timely hitting of Robby Harper to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Guardians on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Harper told the Cleveland Herald: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
