Big Day by Martin Ignites Sea Dogs Win
Nate Martin was a vital contributor to the 9-3 Portland victory over Binghamton. The Sea Dogs designated hitter went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Picking up the win was Henderson Alvarez. He went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 2. So far in 2025, Portland is 23-24.

Portland used the timely hitting of Jeremy Vickers to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sea Dogs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Solid performance from our side," said Sea Dogs manager Stu Cole.
