Erie and Trenton put this game in the books despite some rain.

Jimmy Hoffman was a major factor in the 13-6 Erie win over Trenton. The SeaWolves right fielder went 3-5 with 2 triples and a walk. He scored 4 runs. Tim Woods, who is rated as the 74th best prospect by BNN, was the winner. He's now 3-2. The loser was Augusto Díaz.

Shortstop Amilcar Uribe made an impact for Erie, when he swatted a bases-clearing double off Augusto Díaz in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Uribe went 2 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hoffman. "And not try to do too much."
