Portland Offense Goes Belly-Up Versus Turner, Mets
|
The Binghamton Mets went home winners at NYSEG Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Kel Turner. Turner stifled the Portland Sea Dogs, enabling Binghamton to grab the 3-0 win. The Mets sport a record of 15-31.
Turner, who was born in Houma, Louisiana, delivered a quality start for Binghamton. The 6-foot-4 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings of work.
"Kel was the star," said Binghamton manager Chris Tremie.
