|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Blue Jays and Cincinnati Reds get after it.
Cincinnati parlayed a decent outing from starter Walt Sharpe into a solid win over the Toronto Blue Jays. The final score was 8-2. Sharpe got the win, improving to 10-12. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Dan Beggar put Cincinnati in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Reds went on to win the ballgame.
"Walt's as tough as he is talented," said Cincinnati manager Julio Vinas.
After today's action, Cincinnati sits at 64-73, while Toronto falls to 75-63.
