Pagán Helps Richmond Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
The Richmond Flying Squirrels beat the Akron RubberDucks, 10-3, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Richmond second baseman Leonardo Pagán had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. The winning pitcher was Manny Pérez. He tossed 105 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The Flying Squirrels, now 20-24, have won 5 in a row.
Wes García helped out the Richmond cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
