Goose eggs were the order of the day for the New York Yankees as starter Greg Connolly shut them out, 2-0, at Yankee Stadium. The Houston pitcher struck out 8 and walked 1 while allowing 3 hits.

"Connolly was good but he wasn't flawless," New York manager Tim Laker said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Houston, but this is on us."
