Thunder Reel-In 9-5 Win Over Sea Dogs
Behind a solid performance from center fielder José Ruíz, the Trenton Thunder defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 9-5. Ruíz was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Thunder. Curt Watson, the winner, improved to 6-2. He held the Sea Dogs to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. With the victory, the Thunder upped their record to 23-15.

Ruíz was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 against the Sea Dogs. In the top of the first inning, he hit a run-scoring single that put Trenton in front, 1-0.
