António González had an impressive outing at Canal Park, hurling the Portland Sea Dogs to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Akron RubberDucks.

"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Akron skipper Keith Johnson said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."

On the day, the right-handed González yielded 4 hits and tallied 7 strikeouts with 4 walks.
