Metro Bank Park hosted a real pitchers' duel.
Harrisburg overcame a superior effort from Justus Sheffield to beat Trenton, 2-1. The Trenton pitcher threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Colm Tucker closed it out for his 5th save.
The Senators got a big boost from second baseman Mike Porter who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning off Thunder hurler Justus Sheffield. It was his 14th RBI of the season and put Harrisburg on top, 1-0.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Porter.
The defeat makes Trenton 21-14.
