Santos, Fightin Phils Too Much for Rock Cats
Reading and New Britain duked it out and the Fightin Phils came out victorious.

A good performance from center fielder Daniel Santos helped the Reading Fightin Phils defeat the New Britain Rock Cats, 7-4. Santos was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Fightin Phils. Chip Patrick got the win, improving to 4-1. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Santos hit a run-scoring triple off Mitch Galloway. It propelled the Fightin Phils into the lead, 3-2.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Santos.

The Rock Cats have now dropped 5 straight.
