The Portland Sea Dogs and Erie SeaWolves put on a pitchers' duel.

The Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Erie SeaWolves, 2-0, in Eastern League action at Jerry Uht Park. Portland pitcher Raúl Lópes had a standout performance. Augusto García nailed down his 14th save.

Lópes, who dominated for Portland, earned the victory to move to 3-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 6 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 5. Erie batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Lópes.

With the win over Erie, the Sea Dogs improved to 22-12.
