Thanks in large part to catcher Jon Reed, the Erie SeaWolves beat the Akron RubberDucks, 6-4. Reed went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. António Hernández came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. With the win, the SeaWolves have a record of 22-11.

The SeaWolves got a big at-bat from third baseman Amilcar Uribe. For the game, Uribe went 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Erie a 5-3 lead.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Reed told the Erie Daily.
