The losses keep piling up for the Reading Fightin Phils.

The Akron RubberDucks got a marvelous performance from pitcher Tim Garnham. The right-hander kept the Reading offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 1-0 Akron victory at FirstEnergy Stadium. The Fightin Phils, at 12-19, have lost 11 straight games.

Garnham, now 3-2, scattered 4 hits over 8.1 innings for the RubberDucks.

"Tim was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Akron manager Keith Johnson.
