The Trenton Thunder could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jorge Nájera into a win. Instead, the Portland Sea Dogs prevailed, 7-3. Nájera came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters. Portland used a well-timed hit by Víctor Boieiro to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sea Dogs ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
