New York N 2 (DSL) Takes Division Series Game 1, Harper Stars
The New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2 started the Division Series in style, downing the visiting Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue at New York Mets Complex by a score of 9-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Mets 2 right fielder Joe Harper went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2.

In the bottom of the fifth, New York N 2 (DSL) catcher Lonnie Jones had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Jones stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 5-4, New York N 2 (DSL). For the game, he went 2 for 4 with a double.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Mets 2 manager Phillip Wellman.
