In a pivotal Game 5, the Bakersfield Blaze were hoping for a big game from starter Raúl García. They got one.

The right-hander shut out the Lancaster JetHawks, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 3-0 victory. The Blaze took the 3-0 win over the Lancaster JetHawks to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

García confounded Lancaster hitters. Over 8 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits.
