Greenville Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game
There certainly wasn't much separating the Greenville Drive and Asheville Tourists in this year's Round 1.

In the end, it was the Drive advancing to the Round 2 with a 2-1 win at McCormick Field, to cap off a thrilling 3-2 series win.

Drive right-hander and series MVP Jim Jones took a short break from the clubhouse victory celebration to tell BNN reporters that "winning a series in the last game makes it all the more sweet."

For the series, Jones's performance no doubt made things even sweeter. He had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record.

The Greenville Drive will play against the Delmarva Shorebirds in the next round. Delmarva won their series against the Kannapolis Intimidators 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
